I like to invite all of you to the first Green Hell Rally which will take place from the 22nd of August to the 28th August 2004.

The name of the rally originates from the nick-name of the old northern circuit of the Nuerburgring (22km). In the surroundings of the Ring we find small roads up and down, wooded hills, little traffic - exactly what a Brough likes.

I wish to include a narrow gauge stream train, a steam-ship trip on the Rhine, visits to one or two small castles, a red whine tasting at the Ahr and certainly a guided ride over the Green Hell itself with it's two banked sections (550 yds up and down in a lap).

The Eifel mountais are close to the Belgian border, south of Aachen, not too far from the island, just 250 miles from Dover.

All the participants will be provided with free local maps thanks to the sponsorship of the ADAC.

I hope to see a lot of you folks during these days for a journey you won't forget.

... it is slightly temperamental ... a great ride if you know the line to take with it and unforgiving if you make a mistake
